SURREAL / DREAMS

A Note from Ceil:

“My mind, sleeping or wakeful, chooses impressions and memories out of context then laces them together to get a point across to myself, state a situation, come to a realization, suggest a resolution to a seemingly unresolvable problem, give me another choice.

Working next to a brave women with severe scleroderma shook me up. In “Tooth Fairy” I combined our realities, my hand holding my child's innocent baby teeth doubling as exposed bone chips where her skin had pulled away from her finger tips.

“I’ve Got Your Back”- a painting of partnership protecting each other from our nightmares and fears with our passions, me with my art and him with his skiing.
